The Programma 8 series by Franco Sargiani and Eija Helander is a revolutionary interpretation of tabletop (trays, containers, and serving tools) representing an organic and complete project of small domestic objects that are modular and sectional, and designed for maximum practicality and flexibility of use. Alessandro Mendini defined it a few years later as "the most evolved system of domestic products created on an international level." As with the original design in 1975, in this 2005 re-edition, the first, most important, unit of the "Programma 8," is a stainless steel tray to which white ceramic containers in varying sizes can be added to help determine overall function. The system is brilliant and extensive.
Noted here is the salad serving set which features the FS01 3 x 4 stainless tray, the FS04 3 x 3 ceramic salad bowl, FS05 1 x 3 cruet set with oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper on bakelite stand, and the FS09 stainless salad servers.
